The Half Moon is a family run free house which has been in the same family for over 30 years, we pride ourselves on serving quality home cooked food including our renowned Sunday Carvery and by creating a relaxed atmosphere with everyone welcome - we don't refer to people as 'customers' but as friends. Families and dogs are welcome (Sorry NO dogs in the dining room). Free wifi is available in the pub.
We are located in the locality of Fellbeck in the heart of Nidderdale in the Yorkshire Dales. We are 12 miles from Harrogate and 8 miles from Ripon and are ideally situated for exploring the area with a variety of past times. There are several short circular walks in the area including walks to Brimham Rocks or around the moors. Pateley Bridge is 3 miles down the road a small dales town with lots of antique and curios shops, a museum, various art and craft places, the usual amenities including fuel and England's Oldest Sweetshop.
Yorkshire was recently the host of the Tour de France Grand Depart and the UCI World Championship which has brought the dales onto the international map. The North of England coast to coast runs through Pateley Bridge. We can arrange Fishing, Clay Pigeon Shooting or cycle hire.

Harrogate
The spa town of Harrogate offers a range of shops, bars and restaurants. The town is host to the infamous Betty's tearoom and other attractions such as the valley gardens and the Harrogate International Centre.
Ripon
The ancient city of Ripon is close by, situated by the river Ure the city has great history dating back to the time of the monasteries of the 7th century with the beautiful Cathedral. Ripon also has attractions like the Police and Prison Museum, The Spa Gardens, the Wakeman House, the Curzon Cinema and nearby Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal.
York
Another old city with a Minster and great history dating back to Roman times. With its cobbled streets York offer a host of Shops and attractions for all.
Skipton
Pass through Grassington from Pateley to the gateway to the dales, Skipton offers a host of small shops, Castle, Embsay Steam Railway and a thriving market.
